April 23rd - April 27th Weekly Memo

3rd Marking Period Honor Role

G&G Spring Pictures
Friday, April 20th, G&G Photographers will be at the school to take team and individual photos for Unified Track, Track, Softball, and Baseball. Athletes, please report to field in uniform promptly when called, and if purchasing photos, have envelopes ready.

Attention Seniors!
Service Learning hours are due for seniors next week, April 30th. 23 seniors have now earned the Service Learning Medallion for Graduation

S.A.D.D Meeting
S.A.D.D students will meet from 3:00-3:30 in Ms. Martin’s room on Wednesday, April 25th. It’s important that all members attend this meeting. See Mr. Martin if you have any questions.

Graduation Form
Seniors, please remember to turn in your graduation forms to Crystal in the main office. Forms are due by Monday, April 30th. Extra forms are available if needed.

French Club Meeting
Come bid adieu to our seniors at French Club Tuesday, April 24th in Madame Gray’s room.

Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser
Student Council is beginning to collect donations for the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown, WV.  There will be collection boxes in English classrooms, but anyone may drop off donations in my room 213.
Items needed:
Trash Bags
Non Latex Gloves
Fabric Softener
Laundry detergent  
Disinfectant Spray
Plastic Utensils
Paper Plates

Frostburg Arion Band
Any student interested in becoming a member of the Frostburg Arion Band this summer should see Mr. Logsdon in Room 323 for information or to sign up. The Arion Band is one of the oldest community bands in the United States and is open to any musician who is interested in performing live music in and around the community. Students can earn over 30 service learning hours for participation

Prom Tickets
Prom tickets will be for sale in the main office beginning on Monday, April 9th until Thursday May 3rd. Tickets may be purchased during 5th period and after school. Ticket are $10.00 each, and each ticket purchase includes a prom memento of a photo key chain. Also, anyone interested may purchase a token for $5 that entitles the buyer to unlimited pictures in the photo booth the night of prom. Any questions, see Mrs. Malec in room 133.

Diamonds Tryouts
Diamond tryouts will take place from May 7-10th. Anyone interested should pick up a Registration form in room 237 during 5th period

Scholarships From Angels
The Scholarships From Angels are having two upcoming benefit events.
The second event is the Scholarships From Angels Cash Bash @ The Barton Fire Hall on Saturday, April 30th, 2:00pm.
All the proceeds from both events benefit six scholarships funds at Mountain Ridge High School.

Cheerleading Tryouts
Cheerleading tryouts for 2018-2019 will be held from April 23rd to April 26th from 3:30pm to 6:00pm in the Main Gym. Of course, we will be flexible with spring sports schedules if weather poses an issue. The annual cheer clinic for elementary/middle school will be held from June 18th to June 21st from 5:30pm to 7:30 in the Main Gym, as well.
