2014-2015 Mountain Ridge High School Student Letter

Mountain Ridge Softball Spirit Night
As part of the homecoming festivities, the softball program will be holding a Spirit Night Fundraiser at the Hen House Restaurant on Friday, October, 3, 2014.  A percentage of what your family spends at the Hen House between 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm will be donated to the softball program.  Dinners will be available from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm and appetizers only from 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm.  When paying your servers, please let them know you are there as part of the Mountain Ridge Softball Spirit Night.  Free live entertainment by Time Flies band from 8:30 pm – 11:00 pm.

Going Green for Ms. Zlomek
ACPS will hold a Green Day on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, LeeAnn's birthday, in her memory.  Donations for wearing green that day will be used towards the Zlomek Mathematics and Perseverance Award, which is a scholarship for a Mountain Ridge Student who has a great desire to attain a strong mathematical understanding. Donations can be forwarded to Bonnie Holshey or Rob Duncan at Mountain Ridge.  Be sure to wear your green!

Homecoming 2014

HC 2014

Miners, there will be a homecoming bon fire Wednesday October 1st. bon fire will be held at Westmar Middle School starting at 7:00 pm. Come enjoy the fun, cheerleaders, band, and food. There is no school the next day. So start your break with a Homecoming bon fire at Westmar Middle School.

Homecoming tickets will be on sale during all lunch shifts starting September 16th in the cafeteria. The cost is $10 per person.

Homecoming Message Board Announcements
Help support Mountain Ridge by placing a homecoming announcement (similar to linebackers) on our stadium message board during the varsity homecoming events.  These will include the boys’ & girls’ soccer and football games held in the stadium.  A picture may be included in your announcement.  Your announcement will be shown multiple times during each event. Request forms can be picked up during the week from the main office or can be downloaded from the school’s Web site by clicking here. Deadline has been moved to September 30th.

Event Parking at Mountain Ridge Stadium
As the fall sports' season kicks off, the administration of Mountain Ridge would like to remind visitors about the stadium parking policy.  The stadium parking lot is reserved for visiting team busses, administration, event workers and officials.  All extra parking spots are reserved for handicapped drivers.  Parking along the stadium access road is prohibited, as the curb is painted red and "No Parking" signs are posted. Violators will be ticketed by the Frostburg Police Department.
